Our story

A grassroots movement lifting Australian families before, during, and after crisis.

Project Helping Hand began with a single community hall filled with donations. Today we are a nationwide network connecting donors, volunteers, and local experts to deliver practical care and long-term resilience for people doing it tough.

What we believe

Guided by lived experience

Our values are shaped by the communities we serve. They help us build trust, respond quickly, and walk alongside people well beyond the emergency.

Human dignity first

We design every interaction so people feel seen, heard, and empowered to shape their own pathway forward.

Transparency builds trust

We’re committed to being clear, open, and accountable in everything we do.

Guided by community

People with lived experience at the helm

Our direction is guided by those who understand the challenges firsthand and are driven to create lasting change.
